SCHEDULE
Maitland middle school offers four sports. They are soccer (1st nine weeks), volleyball (2nd nine weeks), basketball (3rd nine weeks), and track and field (4th nine weeks). There is a girls' and boys' team for each sport. The athletic events will be held after school on Wednesdays with games occasionally on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Team practices will be held daily after school. Coaches will give a complete practice schedule at team meeting.
For soccer, basketball and volleyball six to seven regular season games will be played against teams within our cluster (ACE, Arbor Ridge, College Park, Glenridge, Howard, Lockhart). At the completion of each regular season, there will be an 18 team playoff tournament. The top three schools from each of the six clusters will get a chance to compete for the Orange County Championship trophy. The track teams will have five meets competing against our cluster. Only the top 24 individuals for each individual event and the top 16 relay teams will qualify to compete at the Track & Field Championships.
